FMGC

The FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry category comprises products that have a high demand and turnover within a short span including foods, drinks, and other personal and home-use products. India is one of the biggest fast-moving consumer goods markets in the world due to the increase in incomes, the growth of urbanization, and shifting consumer trends. Rural consumers also play an important role, representing around 36% of total FMCG expenditure.

FMCG Manufacturing Process

  • Raw Material Sourcing: Accessing the raw materials in areas like agriculture, chemicals, and packaging is very important.
  • Processing and Production: It may include processes such as baking, stirring, or mechanical and chemical combinations depending on the end product.
  • Quality Control: Stringent quality control measures are applied to lower risks of safety and quality compromise, particularly in the food products and items of personal use.
  • Packaging: Automated packaging maintains and enhances the products by packaging in plastics, glass, or other reusable packages.
  • Distribution: A good supply chain ensures that products are delivered fast through wholesalers and retailers and even online.

Boilers in the FMCG Industry

FMCG subsectors, including food and drinks, dairy, and personal care products, use steam for processes like cooking, pasteurization packaging, and washing.

Types of Boilers Used:

  • Steam Boilers: Normally employed for baking and sanitizing food products that are in the production line of food companies. They assist in maintaining the quality of the products through the required temperatures and hygiene practices.
  • Hot Water Boilers: Used in operations that involve hot water, like washing and disinfection of equipment used in food industries, especially the dairy and beverage sectors.
